How a seasonal cleaning plan works

Instead of calling each time the gutters overflow, you set up the plan once. We look at the property, note the trees, the roof height and how quickly debris builds up, and set a spring and a fall visit for that home. The visits then repeat each year without a new request. Signing up is an inquiry, not an online purchase. Nothing is charged up front; you talk with the office, see the schedule and the price, and decide.

Timing the visits around your trees

Good timing is most of the value. The fall visit is set after most leaves are down, which in many New Jersey neighborhoods means late fall; lots with late-holding oaks may be scheduled later than lots with maples. The spring visit follows the tassel, seed and blossom drop, before the heavy summer storms. Homes under pines can ask about an extra visit, since needles fall all year.

What each visit covers

Every visit is a full gutter cleaning: debris removed by hand and hauled away, downspouts flushed and water run through to confirm flow. Each season also has its own focus.

  • Spring: a check for winter damage such as hangers loosened by ice, separated seams and dented sections.
  • Fall: making sure every downspout is clear before freezing weather, so meltwater has somewhere to go.
  • Both: a short note on anything that needs repair, with the choice left to you.

Scheduling each visit

Visits are scheduled with you ahead of time, so you can move a car, unlock a gate or keep pets inside. If a date does not work, call the office. Weather can push a visit back a few days, since the work is done on dry, safe roofs and ladders.

Who a cleaning plan suits

  • Homes on wooded lots that fill their gutters every season.
  • Two- and three-story houses where ladder work is not a weekend job.
  • Owners who travel or would rather not track the calendar.
  • Landlords and owners of rental homes.
  • HOAs and multi-family buildings that need every building done on a set schedule.

Starting a plan

Tell us the address and a little about the trees around the house, and we will come out, look at the gutters and propose a schedule and a price. If the gutters need repair or guards before regular cleaning makes sense, that will be explained first. When you are ready, ask about a plan.

I hired NJ Gutters to replace my 5" K-styles. They recommended a 6" replacement and suggested round, rather than the typical rectangular downspouts. I am totally pleased with their work and the results. They worked neatly and cleaned up well before leaving. I would recommend NJ Gutters without hesitation. When they received my check, they called me back to tell me that I missed an available discount by paying by check rather than credit card. The invited my to send in the discounted amount, a savings of almost $100. That is a class act!

The job was done exactly on time, the workmen were clean, polite, worked good as a team. All material was of first rate quality. Their tools and machines were all in good working order, no delays. The crew had all of their materials with them, job took 2 1/2 days as quoted. The men rotated their jobs, always enough workmen on site and working. They always cared and discussed safety issues. It was like watching skilled watch makers. Best of all, it makes the house look new, clean well worth the cost, but still a fair price. Good reason to shop local.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

8 questions and answers in 5 topics: Pricing, Process, Guards, Warranty, Service area.

Pricing

How do I get a quote?

Call (888) 611-3987 or request a free estimate online. The office is open Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–5:00 PM; Saturday 9:00 AM–4:00 PM.

Process

Can I sign up for a plan online?

No payment is taken up front. Sending a request starts a conversation: we look at the property, suggest visit timing and give you a price, and the plan begins only after you agree to it.

Can I add a visit if I have pine trees?

Yes. Lots with pines or very heavy cover often need a third visit, usually in mid-summer or early winter. Mention the trees when you ask about a plan, and the schedule can reflect them.

What if you find damage during a visit?

The crew will point it out and explain what it means, whether that is a loose hanger, a leaking seam or a section holding water. Repairs are quoted separately, and nothing extra is done without your approval.

Can a business or HOA set up a plan?

Yes. Commercial properties, HOAs and apartment buildings can schedule recurring cleanings for every building. Visits can be planned around residents, tenants and business hours, and one schedule can cover every building on the property.

Guards

Does a plan make sense if I already have gutter guards?

It can. Guards cut down on debris inside the gutter, but surface buildup and roof grit still need attention. A plan for a guarded home may focus on clearing the tops and confirming flow rather than a full scoop-out.

Warranty

What warranty does New Jersey Gutter offer?

New Jersey Gutter backs its work with a workmanship warranty. It covers how the job was done: seams, hangers, pitch and fastening. Gutters, guards and other products also carry their manufacturer's material warranty. Your length and terms are written on your estimate and invoice.
